To deliver the pages, our server receives your IP address, the page requested, the time and your browser's technical details. This is necessary to show the website and to keep it secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- The web server keeps no access log. Error messages of the server may contain an IP address; they stay in the server's system log for at most 14 days.
- To protect the beta form from abuse, the server counts requests per IP address in memory for up to one hour. This count is never written to disk.
- This website uses no cookies, no analytics, no tracking and no third-party content. Fonts are served from this server.
The server is rented from Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany, and located in Finland (EU). Hetzner processes the data on our behalf under a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR).
3. The beta request form
If you request beta access, we store: your name, work email, office or company, role, your answer to “How do you check IFC models today?”, whether you want to try the n8n connection, and the time of the request.
- Purpose: to answer your request, to select participants and to run the beta with you, including the feedback calls.
- Legal basis: steps you asked for before taking part in the beta (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in answering your request (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Required: name and email. Without them we cannot reply. All other fields are optional.
- Where: in a file on our server described in section 2. It is not passed to anyone and not used for newsletters or advertising.
- How long: if you take part, until six months after the beta ends; if you do not take part, six months after your request. Then the entry is deleted. Earlier on request.

If you write to us, we process your message and address to answer it (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). Our mailbox is provided by Proton AG, Route de la Galaise 32, 1228 Plan-les-Ouates, Switzerland. The European Commission has recognised Switzerland as providing an adequate level of data protection. Emails are kept as long as the conversation and the beta need them, and then deleted.
5. The program
Modellwarte runs on your computer. IFC models, model data, reports and run history stay on your disk and are not sent to us. If you send us a run log for support, it reaches us as an email (section 4).
